seedling me

30 Apr

rooting is the yin of salty longing, an itch, an ache, as present as poison ivy, as alive as chigger pulses in one’s privates, earthy discovery grows down. desire grows legs in layers of bracing bright shoots in dark dirt. the courage to grow is found in dark alone. Blooming is only ever gained by diving and holding on to the soil before shooting toward the light.

It’s true… A blooming flower is equal parts mud and sky. I’d say the same about those glorious chiggers, but I just don’t have it in me tonight. 🙂

I am sorry that you know of what I referred to when I brought up chiggers – don’t wish their visits upon anyone! But from another angle, they are part of the wonderful mix we all have thrown ourselves into with taking on life. Wishing you a wonderful weekend in the mix. x!
