the love boat exciting and new come aboard we’re expecting you

31 Aug

perhaps I will never know

what makes me swoon this way –

hear

the droning lawnmower,

while I am

braising my head

in direct sunlight,

baking and falling

so far out of my body

that if I were to open my eyes,

I wonder where I will be.

I seem to be dancing with someone unseen

but felt.

A love is here that leaves me never lonely

but refreshed in the silence of wordless agreement.

How can this be this be this be;

no one do you see?

I’ve fallen.

Without a net,

on my way down

without my checkbook,

skipping out on the rent.

I cannot shape this afternoon,

let alone next year.

Who who who is knocking

on my heart?

When I peer,

right here,

only the stray cat tigger

and the gnats,

but I feel it –

over and over –

knock knock knock,

I am

alone

unattached

on fire

without a flame.

Do not douse me now.

great goosebumps and gratitude for you, opening up your vibrant Bliss to us.

    ‘Tis palpable.

Yo, Mandachica! Bliss states feel like battery boosters – perhaps giving me/one light power to face those shadow blind spots you were illuminating a few days ago. xo! m

I am glimpsing the inside of this moment, delighting in your commentary from your local branch of the Invisible, sensing the wordless wonder that has now been detected on all seven continents which the New York Times never seems to report on, but here it is again, seen radiant through another pair of eyes. I see the stray cat following your graceful lead, taking sun lessons, the gnats massing in hanging community within a still pocket of air, unperturbed by the fact the whole world could be changed by morning, the lawnmower explosions rising and falling in accordance with the contours of nearby earth. When we see what’s living inside the simple things, it’s hard to resist the urge to pick up little rocks and see what mysteries are living underneath them, mysteries we sense all around us but can never quite put our finger on… That’s just dirt, and a millipede… or… wait a minute…

      Mr. Michael,
It is one thing to embody such moments, but another entirely that upon sharing, I have the gift of another who groks, even groks the gnats as significant – defying the weight of outward appearances. Well, all of this is enough to bring on even more washes of bliss upon my head! I’m over here, counting the millipede’s legs while he giggles. May your workweek begin with such deluges that can be found even in commuting cars and office buildings! xo! m

Are you cosmic sun-bathing?!? If so, I’m grabbing my beach blanket and ditching the sun block. Knock knock!

    • marga t. September 2, 2014 at 9:08 pm #

Why yes, I am! Hello hello – heart knocker! Let us hit the beach, absorb those rays, float away and ground into ourselves all at once! (I am so looking forward to seeing you soooooon!) xo! m

But oh how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you and you can hear me
      When I say softly slowly

      Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today

It’s all happening – and it’s put to song! There is a savant like precision in you M in the overlapping of the words and song to life as it unfolds! (I have had encounters with a huge snake, alligator and large birds as I was moving about in the world with my tiny dancer within.) xoxo! Tingly with the knowing that soon I will be in motion and nearer!

And the word wizard does it again!

You reacquainted me with myself by commenting here. I had forgotten about this past self. I think I’ll see if she will let me teach at this school. I’m adept at napping and staring into space 🙂 How’s the desert?

      • mcaimbeul October 5, 2017 at 11:32 pm #

My pleasure, you’ve done the same for me. I had a feeling the school’s approach to teaching was possibly robbing you of your natural teaching joy. I feel I’ve known you long enough that you will make the right decision. The desert is as lovely as ever and I trust your costal breeze will reinvigorate.

      • marga t. October 6, 2017 at 2:35 pm #

You are holding up such a helpful mirror, Dr. Mike. So I will stand here and look for a moment at what you reflect back that helps me see where I am. My school’s approach is not the issue. They do not pay a living wage, but they do allow me freedom to do what I want – so I have been happy with this trade-off. The issue mainly deals with the challenge of teaching the topic balancing with my own desire for even more freedom. Perhaps I will be shifting to learning more of how to balance this by figuring out how to work more quickly or in a more focused manner so that I can flow the way I wish. Or perhaps a change or shift will be made to some new way of flowing allowing for more time in nature and in spaciousness of no thing to DO. You are so right that the right decision will be made; by whom is an interesting thing to ponder 🙂 I often think of your car and watch, and know that the exit out is always a choice one just steps into from every where. Don’t feel you need to respond! I am so grateful for the clarity in the spot you offer. Wolf howling at the full moon over out.
